Kewannee Trail / Greenway Trail South And North + Secret Lake Park

March, 2019 by luisalberto_25

I had a fun day riding and exploring this trail. I picked this trail up right from the Kewannee trail connection followed it then over to the SR436 (Semoran Blvd) crossing) and into Wirz Park and it’s BEAUTIFUL Loop. This is the South side of the trail. To connect to the North side it travels along a neighborhood road at is farthest east end (Wilshire Drive). The North side of this trail is just as pretty, be sure to continue on S Triplet Lake Drive - there is an AWESOME spot to just admire the lake at the crossing of S Triplet Lake and Triplet Lake Drive. Continue on from there to BEAUTIFUL SECRET LAKE PARK - you will be happy you did! Round trip both North & South Trails + Kewannee Trail came to about 22 miles.

East Central Regional Rail Trail

Worth the Drive

March, 2019 by bhapp

My wife and I cycled from the beginning of the trail in Titusville to about 2.5 miles past the I-95 overpass (which is ~10 miles from the start). Total trip for us was only 24 miles but it was our first trip to the trail. We will definitely be back. We parked at the Coast-to-Coast Bike shop in town. There was no signage from there to the trailhead but we were able to ask another cyclist for directions (the bike shop was closed on Sunday!). The first ~8 miles had several road crossings, some with limited views so you have to slow to almost a complete stop to make sure it is safe to cross. At the intersection of the I-95 there is a parking lot. This is a better place to start your ride to avoid the street crossings as it gets rural when heading north/west from there. The trail is excellent, very smooth and flat. There are no rest rooms or benches anywhere along the first 12 miles so plan accordingly. Well worth the drive to get to this trail - this will become a regular spot for our riding!!! Only gave it 4 stars because no restrooms/benches yet and too many street crossings (but way better than riding on the road).

Orlando Urban Trail

Come And Enjoy this Urban Trail And Stops along the way!

February, 2019 by luisalberto_25

Enjoyed my recent ride on this trail. Even though it’s a short trail, there are plenty of spots to simply appreciate the simple beauty of Orlando. Plenty of places to stop for water, and a bite to eat as it will runs parallel and into a grouping of restaurants, grocery chain, and YES a Winery!!! For your next stop be camera ready for many pics or selfies on the bridge over lake Formosa -AMAZING SUNSETS. Be sure to ride around the Science Center too. And follow the trail through a neighborhood by the lake and reach Mead Garden Park! Very Relaxed Very Easy Very Fun Fun Note: for longer rides you can easily connect to Baldwin Park Loop, Cady Way Trail or Maitland Bike Trail

Gaston Edwards Trail

Look at the Map

February, 2019 by yipyipyip27

I decided to bring my dog here after reading the description. It was a nice little walk, however there is no clear start and stop to the trail. It just dead ends at an apartment complex and at a crosswalk. The parking lot is right in the middle of the trail too so we walked to the left, found the dead end and I was confused thinking it must continue somewhere else and we ended up walking through a business center. So we turned around, passed the car, and reached another dead end at the apartment complex. Now looking at the map I realize the trail is actually structured that way, which I find strange. I wish I had looked at the map previously and I would have chosen a more direct walking trail. My dog had fun and we still got our exercise in so the trail served its purpose, just wished I hadn’t been so confused.

Historic Jungle Trail

0rchid Jungle Trail Experience ~ ~ ~

February, 2019 by curtdebutton

Daughter, grandaughter & I (dad) took south turn off #510. Few signs, but found our way. Took left turn heading east over #a1a & short trail to beach. Tide was out, no signs saying we couldn't or could ride - we chose the latter.
Surprised a few walkers, flushed 50+ birds, sand beach was hard enough to support our wide tires. Such a pleasant surprise for a ride we had no knowledge about until we just did it. Would have given 5 stars if signage was a little better & parking areas were available. Found the site today & now we will head north to finish the entire bike hike. "Just do it"! ¿ ¿ ¿

Ample Parking @ Osceola Welcome Center (across the street)

February, 2019 by luisalberto_25

Kissimmee is doing a great job with this Trail!. I enjoyed the connection ride from Shingle Creek to Kissimmee Loop Trail That BRIDGE OVER John Young Parkway is a MUST, very pretty and a fun ride. Plenty of places for pictures, and selfies. Loved the ride alongside the creek. I will submit pics as soon as I download them. Can’t wait to see more connections added to this project. Tip: get there during the earlier part of the day. The roadway to get there is busy with traffic.

Titusville Multi-Use Trail

First Trail

February, 2019 by airscanpilot

Biked this trail today on my new E-Bike in beautiful Florida weather. Parked in the Wuestoff Park lot on the north end just off Barna Ave near US 50. Encountered a lady using the body workout equipment on the north end of the trail near Wuestoff Park. Then towards the west end, encountered a lady with her grandkids riding their toy equipment. On the way back from the southwest end, passed a guy coming down the trail on one of those Sedgeway looking platforms without the center bar. Nice, short trail, forested, shaded. A sitting bench about half way thru, and a litter barrel nearby. Appeared well maintained, and not too far from home.

Shingle Creek Regional Trail (FL)

Nice trail with varied scenery

February, 2019 by byhazleton

We rode the trail in early February and were pleasantly surprised. We got a few extra miles by riding from our house to the Shingle Creek Regional Park - Steffee Landing. That would be a good starting point if you are driving. There is a tunnel that passes under Route 192. The trail is asphalt most of the way and is relatively flat and the trail is wide. The loop around Pioneer Village is packed dirt and is well maintained. There are many spurs around on this trail, each one offering something worth seeing.

Shingle Creek Regional Trail (FL)

Now open from Tapestry to 192 - January 2019

January, 2019 by ctamplin

They have opened the section that joins the two pieces shown on the map. Thus one can join the trail at the Tapestry development off Dyer Blvd and go all the way to Kissimmee Lakefront or to Pioneer Village. Great addition. Looking forward to them finishing off the northern section up to Osceola Parkway next as they acquired the easement rights in 2018.

January, 2019 by robertskeeley

Green Spring Park to Trail Bridge in Osteen - 5.3 miles (seemlessly continues from Trail Bridge), Osteen to Guise Road - 2.7 Miles about 8 miles..

Great Ride, well maintained trail. No Trailer parking at Green Springs Park but trailer parking available next door east at boat ramp parking. Not many people given it was New Years Day, beautiful place to explore..

Spring to Spring Trail

Scenic but stretches are broken up!

December, 2018 by timbee205

I started at Lake Beresford Park which has a loop trail good for maybe 2+ miles. Head south towards Blue Springs which is an interesting place especially viewing the river & watching the manatees swim around where you could otherwise swim in summer. Surprisingly lots of people at the park for a weekday morning. Further down the trail there was some construction going on to extend the trail; after that riding on a wide sidewalk for mile or 2. I'm not sure how you'd get to the southern section via bike because of very busy road in DeBary.

So I packed up the bike & drove to Monroe Park and headed north & east. First few miles were very scenic over a boardwalk. The trail is good until just after Gemini Springs where it parallels a very busy road for a few miles but becomes a peaceful, scenic trail by the time you hit Green Springs. Here is meets up with the East Coast rail trail that goes another 7 miles or so to the gap.

It will be nice once this trail is continuous and also connects up with short stretches in DeLand where there's a lot of jumping around on sidewalks, trails, roads, etc. Some signs would be nice to help navigate. All-in-all a nice trail but needs connectivity work.

East Central Regional Rail Trail

Nice trail ... amenities sparse!

December, 2018 by timbee205

We started in downtown Titusville at the bike shop where we rented hybrids. The "trail" was hard to find from there because that part of it is riding on streets with marked bike lanes. Once on the trail it was fine; smooth & flat riding first through suburban housing & commercial development; then out into lush vegetation on both sides.

There was one bench to sit down at but otherwise out to Virgie's stop there was no place to sit/rest, get a drink or relieve oneself. Thankfully there was no rain or hot sun to contend with.

I hear there are stops as you go further west towards Osteen. It will be nice once the short gap is closed so you can go from either Edgewater or Titusville to Deltona and connect up to Spring to Spring trail.

Back in Titusville you're again on marked streets, then you can go over the Max Brewer Bridge on pedestrian sidewalk--nice view of the water or maybe a rocket launch. Not much beyond that for now.
