The Maurice River Bikeway Trail provides access to shops, recreational parks, and riverside riding all in one. Starting behind the city hall, travelers will be just off the river on Ware Avenue in downtown Millville, where you have immediate access to restaurants and shops.
Traveling slightly northwest, your journey will continue through multiple parks under a leafy tree canopy next to the water. Traveling under the Brandriff Avenue Bridge, after you have crossed City Park Drive into the neighboring park, you will weave through the woods on a pleasant trail with both asphalt and crushed-stone sections. Once you are near the end on the Sharp Street side, you can access a playground, ball fields, and a floating dock for fishing.
For those looking to travel farther, you can head west onto Carmel Road to the Union Lake Wildlife Management Area for hiking and even farther to downtown Bridgeton.
Parking spaces are available on Ware Avenue at the baseball fields and across the river on Riverside Drive. Parking is also available on Sharp Street at the Sharp Street Park.
