The Rockton Main Street Path is situated off the Rock River on the southern end of downtown Rockton, a charming Midwestern village near the Illinois–Wisconsin border. It begins at Settler's Park, which offers views of the waterway, athletic fields and restrooms. The trail follows its namesake roadway for just under a mile. Along the way, it passes Hononegah High School, providing a convenient and safe route for students, as well as the city's boat ramp, offering access to the river.
A short sidewalk connection from its eastern endpoint on the bridge over State Route 2 allows trail-goers to continue onto the Hononegah Recreation Path and subsequently the scenic Hononegah Forest Preserve.
Parking can be found at the west end of the trail at Settler's Park (E. Hawick Street) and at the Rockton boat ramp off E. Main Street on the eastern end of the trail.
