The White River Greenway in Anderson, IN is approximately 4.89 miles paved (with a small section of boardwalk) along the White River and continues approximately 1.7 miles unpaved. It links multiple parks, including the Rangeline Nature Preserve which consists of 3 mountain biking loops: a beginner, intermediate, and expert level. In addition to Rangeline, the White River Greenway connects into the Killbuck Wetlands, Shadyside Park trail system, Madison Park / Derby Downs, Riverbend Park and conservation area, Athletic Park, and Edgewater Park. The trail is also just a few minutes from Anderson University, Downtown Anderson, and Mounds State Park. It provides a unique opportunity linking nature to urban recreation.
There are eight (8) trail heads / parking locations along the trail; one (1) at each of the following locations: Riverbend Park, Madison Park / Derby Downs, Edgewater Park, Killbuck Wetlands, and the Rangeline Nature Preserve. Additionally, there is a trail head located on W 8th Street, approximately 400 feet east of Raible Avenue; located just off Main Street across the street from Dossett's Garage; and on E 9th Street approximately 160 feet west of Ruddle Avenue.
